20 years ago I picked up Every Dead Thing by John Connolly and I haven’t missed one yet! This series is just brilliantly written crime, sinister, dark and sometimes out there but always a satisfying read. I hated when I got near the end as I wanted them to keep going. This was his first book and was an instant New York Times best seller. From Dublin with a degree in English from Trinity he worked as a journalist before becoming a full time writer. His Charlie Parker series has won numerous crime writing awards. Anyone who missed these the first time around should go back and start from the beginning. They are in for a treat – Irene Academy Books.
